Please read this page in its entirety before inquiring about any goats from our herd. It will be assumed by us, that you have read and agree to these terms before you take your new herd members home.
All goat kids leaving our farm will be disbudded before leaving (males before a week old, females before two weeks old). We do not offer a "horned" option. This is non-negotiable. All Kids are bottle/milk bar raised and will leave with a bottle for feeding. Kids eligible for registration (non-wethers) will be tattooed as well. Wethers must stay until they are eligible for banding (up to 30 days old). We will not allow any bucklings intended to be wethered, to leave before placing the band on ourselves. Wethers will be sold without registration paperwork completed.
We ask that new owners grant us the right of refusal if they wish to sell a doe or buck kid after having purchased from us. We will pay only the original sales price, and not cover the buyer's transport fees. We will transport the kid on our own back to our farm.
All herd members are tested annually for CAE, CL, Johnes, and Q-Fever.
We do not claim responsibility for injury or illness that happens after animals being sold have left our property. It is the buyer's responsibility to keep the animals they have purchased alive once they have left our farm. We also will not sell only one goat to any person/farm if there are no other goats in the appropriate age group for the animal you are purchasing, already on your property. Goats are a herd animal and need a member of their own species to bond and live with. We highly encourage they be purchased in pairs or more, and may even offer 'buddy discounts' in order to ensure our kids/does are set up for success.
We do not ask a reservation fee currently. Each doe has a limited number of reservations available, if you are interested in placing a reservation, please don't hesitate to contact us! Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and will be filled as such. Please check our Breeding Plans to see who has what available. Our farm holds priority over reservations, and if we like a kid from a certain pairing, we reserve the right to retain that kid and offer the buyer the option to pursue another reservation. We will not allow anyone to make reservations based off of our breeding plans until does are confirmed bred! We ultrasound 45 days after confirmed breeding was recorded. Ultrasounds usually occur from mid October to mid November so check back then to see who is confirmed and has slots available!
We do NOT breed for color or flash. Reservations will be denied if you explicitly request a certain color, pattern, moonspots, or blue eyes.
Once kids are born, within 24hrs we will notify the first person on a reservation list if any are available and fill their requirements. An additional 24hrs will be granted to the prospective buyer to pay a non-refundable $100 deposit through "Friends and Family" payment options only. If this deposit is not paid, the next person on the list for that pairing will be notified and your deposit will be forfeit.
The deposit price will come off of total animal price for any goat offered for sale by our farm. Any money paid towards your animal before pickup date will come off the total animal price. We will not allow any animal to leave our farm without the agreed upon price being paid in full no later than the scheduled pick up date.
A $100 deposit will hold:
Any adult animal in our for sale list for 2 weeks after the date the deposit was paid.
Any bottle raised kid up to 30 days after the date the deposit was paid.
If the animal has not been picked up by the aforementioned timeline has run out, the deposit may be forfeit and animal relisted for sale. We are forgiving for extenuating circumstances and encourage our prospective buyers to reach out and communicate with us. If there is a severe lack of communication, we will be less understanding.
We do not offer refunds on purchase for our goats once they have left our farm. Once again, it is the buyers responsibility to care for their new herd members properly. We will of course offer guidance when ever possible. But will not refund a buyer for animal care expenses or deposits.
While no one ever wants or expects these things to happen, goats are livestock and this is a risk we have to accept when purchasing and caring for them. If the animal you are purchasing, passes away for any reason before you pick them up, we will offer a refund on their deposit as well as any other money paid on them. Or if available, we may offer the option for a replacement animal to purchase. Buyer would only be responsible for covering the difference in price if there is one.
All kids are raised on the bottle/milk bar and can leave the farm as young as 4 weeks of age. We will not allow any goat to be sold alone, unless there are other goats of similar age/size under the buyer's ownership.
After a buyer pays the $100 deposit on
any goat kid, they have 30 days to work out transport to bring the kid home.
any adult goat, they have 2 weeks to work out transport and bring the goat home.
We will NOT allow any goat to leave without the remaining balance to be paid in full. Buyers may pay towards the total balance of their goat before pickup date. If the above timeframe passes and there has been no communication or effort to pick up the animal in question, the deposit will be forfeit and animal relisted for sale.
It is the buyers responsibility to arrange transport for their animal(s). We can provide transport service recommendations if asked. We are willing to travel 1.5hrs one way in any direction (located in Pahrump, NV. Will travel to Las Vegas, Boulder City, Sandy Valley, Beatty, NV OR Baker CA) for a $75 non-refundable travel fee at the buyers expense. Travel fee must be paid in full electronically (via friends and family) BEFORE we leave our farm with your animal. We appreciate lots of communication with both the buyer and their chosen transport service. We are incredibly willing to work with people that work with us.
